FAQ
Does every hand have an answer?
Yes. Of the 1,820 hands of four numbers from 1 to 13, 1,362 can make 24, and hands are only dealt from those.
Why do fractions appear?
Some hands need a fraction on the way: 3, 3, 8, 8 makes 24 only as 8 ÷ (3 − 8 ÷ 3). The game works with exact fractions, so there are no rounding errors.
What is a hard hand?
There are 166: 16 that need a fraction (such as 1, 5, 5, 5 or 3, 3, 7, 7) and 150 with a single answer in whole numbers.
Do hands count after I look at the answer?
No. A hand whose answer you looked at does not add to your solved hands, and your streak starts again.
