How to play Spider Solitaire

- Choose 1 suit if you are learning. Try 2 or 4 suits when you want more decisions to think through. All modes use 104 cards.
- Place a card on one rank higher, regardless of suit. A 6 can go on a 7, but a group only moves together when it descends in the same suit. Any card or valid sequence can fill an empty column.
- When you need more cards, click the stock to deal one onto each column. Fill every empty column first; there are five extra rows to deal.
- Build a complete same-suit run from King down to Ace. It is removed automatically. Clear eight runs to win.
FAQ
Which suit mode should I start with?
Try 1 suit first: all cards are spades, so arranging movable sequences is simpler. In 2 and 4 suits, you also need to keep track of which cards belong together.
Why can’t I move a whole stack?
Every card in a movable stack must be in descending order and the same suit. Mixed-suit stacks can be built, but you must separate them before moving them together.
Why won’t the stock deal?
You cannot deal a new row while any column is empty. Move a card or a sequence into the empty column first.
Do hints guarantee a win?
No. Hints suggest legal moves, not a complete solution. Random deals and later choices can leave you stuck; use Undo to try another route.
Can I play on a phone and continue later?
Yes. Drag cards or tap to move them. Your current game is saved in this browser. Return on the same device and browser to continue. Clearing site data removes the save; progress does not sync between devices.
