How to play Solitaire
Play classic Klondike solitaire online: build the seven piles down in alternating colours and each suit up from ace to king. - Choose draw 1 (easier) or draw 3 (the classic). Click the stock at the top left to turn cards; when it runs out, click it again to turn the waste back over.
- Build the seven piles down in alternating colours, one rank at a time: a red 7 goes on a black 8. Only a king goes on an empty pile. A face-up card moves together with the cards on it.
- Build each suit up from ace to king on the foundations to win. Stuck? Ask for a hint, or undo.
FAQ
What is the difference between draw 1 and draw 3?
With draw 1 every card of the stock is within reach, which makes it easier; draw 3 turns three cards at a time and only the top one can be played, the classic difficulty. Both allow unlimited passes through the stock.
Can every game be won?
No. The cards are dealt at random, and some deals cannot be solved however you play. Undo and try another line, or start a new game.
What does a click on a card do?
It sends the card to the best place: up to its foundation when it can go there, otherwise onto a pile that takes it. To put it somewhere else, drag it.
Is my game saved?
Yes. The game in progress and your best time for each draw mode stay in this browser, so you can close the page and carry on later.
