How to play Reversi
Play free two-player Reversi online on one phone, tablet or computer. Take turns on an 8×8 board, or choose a computer opponent with three difficulty levels. Legal-move hints, undo and saved progress are included. No sign-up.

- Choose “Two players” to take turns on the same device; black moves first. To practice alone, choose “Computer”, then a difficulty level and your color.
- A disc must outflank a line of your opponent’s discs between it and one of yours, across, down or diagonally; the outflanked discs turn to your colour. The squares you can play carry a dot.
- A side with no move passes by itself; when neither side can move, the game ends and the side with more discs wins.
FAQ
Can two players use different phones or join an online room?
Two-player mode is local: share one phone, tablet or computer and take turns on the same board. No account or room is needed. Remote multiplayer across different devices is not supported.
When do I pass?
When no square lets you outflank any of your opponent’s discs, you must pass and your opponent plays again; the game passes for you and says so. When neither side can move, the game is over.
How strong is the computer?
Easy weighs the squares and discs a move takes, with some chance; normal looks four moves ahead; hard searches as deep as it can in about a second and plays the last dozen or so moves out exactly. In self-play tests, normal and hard both beat easy every time.
How does undo work?
Against the computer, undo goes back to before your last move, taking back its reply as well; with two players it takes back one move.
Do I need an account or a connection?
No. The game and the computer’s thinking run in your browser, and board records are not uploaded.
