FAQ
Can every shuffle be solved?
Yes. Only half of all arrangements of a sliding puzzle can be solved, so every shuffle here is checked for the right parity.
How are moves counted?
Each number that moves is one move: sliding three numbers at once counts as three.
Any tips?
The usual way is row by row: finish the top row, then the left column, which leaves a smaller puzzle; at the end, cycle the last 2 × 2 into place.
Is my game saved?
Yes. The game in progress and your best for each size stay in this browser, so you can close the page and carry on later.
