- Choose or paste a screenshot, then pick solid block, arrow, box or text.
- Drag to mark an area; for text, type it first and then click to place it. In select/move mode you can drag marks, drag a corner to resize, or edit the coordinates, color, font size and text and apply the change.
- Generate the image, zoom in to make sure everything sensitive is covered, then download it or pass it on to compress it or convert it to PDF.
FAQ
Can a redaction be removed to recover what’s underneath?
The export draws solid blocks directly into the pixels, with no original image, editing layers or original camera data attached. Cover the whole sensitive area, edges included; text and hollow boxes do not count as redaction. Share only the generated file, and check by eye that nothing was missed.
Does it support mosaic or blur?
It currently redacts with fully opaque solid blocks, so privacy never depends on how strong a blur is. Up to 100 marks are supported, and the last 50 edits can be undone and redone; the blue selection box is not exported. Zoom only affects the preview, and the download keeps the original pixels.
