FAQ
Can it still be read after messaging-app compression, screenshots or cropping?
Not reliably. This is a pixel-level watermark for lossless original files; compression by messaging and social apps, scaling, screenshots, cropping or color edits can destroy it, so send the original file. It is not a compression-resistant copyright tracking system.
Is the hidden text encrypted?
No. Anyone using this tool can read a compatible watermark, and could overwrite it. It cannot prove authorship or copyright on its own, and passwords or sensitive information should not be written into it.
Can it read watermarks made by other software?
It only reads ToolMelo’s current format. Exports are always PNG, with transparent areas filled white; the RGB channels change by at most one level, which is usually invisible.
