FAQ
Can it turn a scanned document into editable text?
Yes. Choose scanned-document OCR to recognize Simplified Chinese, English and Japanese locally in your browser, up to 20 pages at a time, with the option to cancel. Pages without text are marked in the Word file, and the recognized text needs proofreading. Text extraction and keep-layout mode still handle up to 100 pages.
Does it keep the original tables, columns and fonts?
Text extraction and OCR keep the text, basic line breaks and the original page breaks, but not tables, images or complex layouts. Keep-layout mode reproduces how each page looks, but embeds it as an image on an A4 page.
